Sight Tests in Hyson Green

There is a saying: 'The eyes are the window to the soul'. This is not just a piece of poetry, but a medical fact. Our sight is a very precious thing and changes that occur within the eye can sometimes be a good indicator of what is going on within the rest of our bodies. A regular eye check is an important part of keeping yourself in good health. Eye tests are carried out at six month, one year or a two year intervals, depending on your age and if you have an eye condition which needs to be monitored.

Eye Tests are free for the following groups:

What Your Optometrist Will Check:

  • Your current level of vision

  • If you require glasses to correct your sight

  • If your current glasses are still suitable

  • The overall health of your eyes

If you already wear glasses or contact lenses, remember to take them with you to your sight test.

Once the eye test has been completed, your optometrist will advise you on the next stage of your optical care, including any spectacles or contact lenses you may need to improve your vision.
